World Religions of Brooklyn:
Photographs of Brooklyn's Varied Spiritual Traditions:
A Group Show
November 25 - December 31, 2003

Central Library : Grand Lobby

About the Exhibition

At no time in our country's history has the range of spiritual expression approached what can be found today. And no place in America can claim more religious variety than Brooklyn.

The photographs in this group exhibition document religions that are new to Brooklyn and chronicle the transformation of older faiths. It is an inclusive — although not exhaustive — look at contemporary local religious practices, prompting reflection on the dynamism of American culture.

Mel Rosenthal
