Sponsored by Brooklyn Public Library & Con Edison
Brooklyn Public Library's third annual My Brooklyn exhibition features the winners of a photography and essay contest that invited Brooklynites and non-Brooklynites alike to express the impact Brooklyn has on their lives.
This year's winners were chosen by an esteemed panel of judges including journalist Denis Hamill, photographer Régina Monfort, poet Dennis Nurkse, and author Jacqueline Woodson. Winning photographs and essays in the My Brooklyn exhibition will become part of BPL's Brooklyn Collection, a special collection recording the history of Brooklyn from its early beginnings to the present day.

This year, a new category, "Best Photographs," was added to honor entries with exceptional photography. The photographs are of Brooklyn's past and present in both black and white and color.
